2001 Ford F150

The 2001 Ford F150 is available in a wide variety of pickup truck configurations. This is one of the reasons why this truck has become the best-selling vehicle for decades now. The F150 can suit the owner's needs and preferences with the many trim levels and options packages offered. For 2001, the newest variant is the Super Crew which offers deluxe rear seat accommodations and four full-size doors. The 2001 F150 is available in three engines.

The standard engine is a 4.2-liter V6 engine that generates 202 horsepower. The optional 4.6-liter V8 produces 220 horsepower, the 5.4-liter V8 produces 260 horsepower. 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions are offered. Rounder, more aerodynamic, and more stylish than its competitors, the Ford F150 also offers a more car-like feel than the others.

This pickup truck takes some of its interior design cues from Ford's top passenger cars like the Taurus and the Lincoln Continental. This gives the passenger a more comfortable car-like accommodation within a tough, rugged pickup. Performance-wise, the '01 F150 provides a good solid ride with its proven powertrain. The Super crew version is the most comfortable of the light-duty crew cabs today. It is available in either 2WD or 4WD with XLT, Lariat and King Ranch model in addition to the Harley Davidson Special Edition.
